For close to 40 years, NLEI has succeeded in Inspiring Success and Changing Lives by assisting over 5,000 families every year to pursue their educational and employment goals.

The Mary Gonzalez-Koenig Education Fund embodies the high ideals of education and advocacy that Mary has passionately embraced throughout her life. This fund is a need-based scholarship for students enrolled in NLEI's programs.

Mary Gonzalez-Koenig is the Founding Director of the Spanish Coalition for Jobs, which is now known as the National Latino Education Institute. NLEI maintains its high retention rate due to Mary dedicating 35 years plus to cultivate partnerships with numerous institutions, corporations and volunteers to provide educational programs, employment services and supportive services to NLEI participants. Ultimately, NLEI is addressing Latino's need for gainful and meaningful employment while serving local employers' need for cross-trained and bi-lingual employees.
