LEADERS INSPIRING SUCCESS SPEAKERS FORUM

Leaders Inspiring Success Speakers Forum (LISSF) is an auxiliary arm of NLEI under the auspices of the Business Leadership Council (BLC). Since NLEI’s inception more than 40 years ago, professionals of every industry and past NLEI alumni have asked what they can do to “give back” and support the work of the NLEI. As part of the NLEI’s continuing efforts to bring its students real world exposure and provide the many individuals interested in helping the NLEI an opportunity to participate, the NLEI, through the Business Leadership Council, has established the Latinos Inspiring Success Speakers Forum.
This program is designed to provide Latinos and any other individuals interested in sharing their experiences an opportunity to speak, engage and encourage NLEI students and alumni to continue their path of learning and hard work. The program engages Latino Employee Groups or Affinity Groups and Latino Professional Associations. These groups for years have looked to find ways to either monetarily or through volunteering, support the work of NLEI.
The LISSF will give professionals an opportunity to give back without the long term time commitments a mentoring program requires and to reach a great number of students rather than a traditional mentoring program can.

Students and alumni will gain valuable insight form hearing and learning from Latino professionals dealing with today’s work and economic environments. Potential topics include:
Job hunting is a down economy
Career opportunities in such fields as:
Medicine & Healthcare
Technology & Utilities
Insurance & Financial Services
Human Resources
Continuing Education
The value of Networking
Volunteering
And many, many more...
“We have the potential of being something more than we once believed”

LISSF will serve to enhance students’ understanding and experience of what is expected to succeed in today’s business environment. Speakers Forum participants will be expected to:
· Attend a Speakers Forum Orientation Session
· Be a liaison between their company and NLEI, if appropriate
· Support NLEI events, when possible
· Attend Speakers Forum events, when possible
· Maintain a professional attitude and relationship with NLEI students, staff, and faculty at all times
