The NLEI + NLU PARTNERSHIP PROJECT

NLEI is proud to present, in conjunction with NLU, a university-based program of professional development opportunities that has been developed to meet the Latino community's specific educational needs. This partnership project, which includes undergraduate degrees and professional development programs, has been designed specifically for NLEI alumni, current students, and members of Chicago's Latino community.

ComEd/NLEI LATINO SCHOLARSHIP FUND



In partnership with ComEd, NLEI completed the fifth round of the ComEd/NLEI Latino Scholarship Fund. Scholarships were awarded to qualifying Latino students. Check back for future announcements!.

"ComEd and NLEI have enjoyed a long and fruitful partnership centered on education," said Elba Aranda-Suh, NLEI Executive Director. "Each of us clearly understands the connection between education and a strong community. No community can achieve its dreams without effective education and job training. This scholarship program will go a long way in helping individuals and our community move forward in achieving individual and collective dreams."

Many NLEI graduates have gone on to receive undergraduate and graduate degrees and are an example of the many more who have the drive, the desire and the ability to gain degrees but may not have the means. This scholarship fund will support those individuals to further their education, and ultimately, obtain employment leading to rewarding careers and economic independence.
